Creative workspace in Bo-Kaap


A quirky workspace that reflects a deep love of art and design. Creativity and storytelling are part of the DNA of the building that houses this advertising agency in Cape Town’s Bo-Kaap. Dating back to the days of the early Dutch settlers, this building has spent time as a wooden clog factory, a button factory, a residential space and most recently, an art gallery.

In its current incarnation, the building retains a sense of playfulness and an enduring appreciation of art. Works by artists including Zander Blom, Black Koki, Christo Basson and Andrzej Urbanski adorn the walls. Then there’s the boardroom table, constructed entirely of little Lego blocks cunningly clicked together to add an element of fun to what is typically a serious space
